Vision Board Workshops

Before we dive into Vision Boards and why I’m so passionate about them let me first explain what a Vision Board is and is not.

You know that scripture in Isaiah 46:10 that says “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please’.”

Your Vision Board is a representation of everything God has placed in your heart that he wants to fulfill in your life. It’s just taking those images, your visions that you’ve had stored in your heart and mind for so long and putting it before your eyes in a physical sense. It is set before you night and day to remind you of everything God has for you and wants to do through you.

Vision Boards are NOT…just a board with cute little pictures you cut out and post on the board wishing someday you’ll have it all. It’s NOT an elementary school project that you’ve been sent home to do. Nope…not at all! Your vision board is very strategic in helping you reach your dreams and goals and is a powerful tool that will help you get there much quicker than you can imagine.

To give you an example of a Vision Board here is my 2018 Vision Board that is sitting in front of me every day while I’m working.

Every Board is Different! – Your Vision Board represents YOU.

I have seen people do their boards with more inspiring words or quotes and just a few images. Or you have those that have a lot of images and very few words on their boards. The great thing about these boards is there is no wrong way to do it.

Wondering if a Vision Board will work for you?

One of my Coaches shared the following story and I asked if she would share it with you all. This story will let you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it WILL work for you?

I have always known the power of keeping a vision of where you’re headed in front of you, and have had many vision boards throughout the years, as well as powerful scriptures, sayings, etc.  I coach all my clients to do the same and rejoice with them as their visions become reality, however, there is one particular story that I love to share.

Almost two years ago the LORD had an amazing surprise for me.  We received a phone call out of the clear blue informing us that we had to unexpectedly move out of the home we were renting on very short notice. We hated to leave because it was a beautiful home in a lovely, highly desirable community.

We decided it was finally time to purchase our first “Florida” home, but there weren’t many on the market at that time which could accommodate our large family, and that met our high standards.

As usual, GOD already had all the details worked out behind the scene. Just days after we discovered we had to move, a beautiful home in the same community became available.  After a little negotiation, our offer was accepted, and we were so thankful and amazed to move into our new home.

But here’s the really cool part.  As we were unpacking and bringing boxes in and out of the garage, my husband came in with an old vision board I hadn’t seen in 16 years, but he had a really funny look on his face.  He proceeded to show me the board and my jaw dropped.  There was a picture of the front of our new home on the board, and a picture of the back of our home (overlooking the pool) on the board!

The crazy thing is that these two pictures we cut out of magazines years ago hadn’t even been from the same house. It was a picture of the front of one house, and the back of another house, but we ended up living in pretty much that exact house front and back!

I also drive the exact car that I had a picture of on my desk for several years.  I just looked at it each day as I went about my business.  It’s not that I “coveted” it … and I didn’t work extra hard so I could buy it someday … I just looked at.

So if you’re wondering if it’s a smart thing to keep a vision of what you want in front of you … absolutely! (and there are many scriptures that back it up as well.)  Go for it!

Outline for our Vision Board Workshops

I offer 4 Hour and 8 Hour Vision Board Workshops. The outline below is for a 4 Hour Workshop

Guest arrive and the mingling begins. 🙂  (30 min before official start time)
Introductions and Icebreaker – This is where you’ll learn a little bit more about me but more importantly I get to learn about Y’all. This little icebreaker is a fun way to get the juices flowing and begin the dreaming process. I promise, it doesn’t hurt and you’ll learn a lot about yourself in this one little exercise. (30 min)

You begin to #DreamAgain – This has to be the most revealing yet amazing, fun time stirring and awakening those dreams you forgot all about. To watch people who say they don’t have any dreams fill a page up with dreams they forgot about is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had while facilitating these workshops. I PROMISE you, you have dreams and you will leave with a renewed sense of hope and dreams that are alive, well and very vivid! (30 min)

False Beliefs – These little beliefs have made themselves appear larger than life and they have stopped you from dreaming, from hoping, from believing that God really does have a plan and purpose for your life and wants to shower you with His blessings. During this time we are going to CRUSH these false beliefs and the fear they have instilled in you. We are going to replace them with positive, uplifting thoughts that are TRUE, PURE, HONEST, JUST, PURE, LOVELY, and are of a GOOD REPORT – Philippians 4:8  (30 min)

Writing down your Goals – I’m sure you’ve heard it said quite a few times, “A goal not written is only a wish” or about this, “Without a goal, there can be no real success.” These two quotes have so much truth in them but the greatest quote of all comes from the word of God.
Habakkuk 2:2 “Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
We’ll dive into that scripture while we’re together and you’ll also learn about the 3%, 13% and the 84%. Trust me, you’ll want to be in the 3% and when you leave this workshop…you will be.(30 min)

Vision Board Time – This is where the fun really begins. This is where your vision starts to become real because you are going to find images, words or quotes that resonate with you, your dreams, your visions and your God-given purpose. While cutting the images you are not just cutting cute, pretty pictures, you are being very intentional. (1 1/2 hours)

Running to the Vision/Actionable Steps –  Through this process and time together, you’ve awakened the dream God has placed inside you, we’ve dealt with those false/limiting beliefs, you’ve identified your goals and have them written down and now you have a visual of the end from the beginning. NOW, WHAT? Now you run to that Vision. You’ll leave with steps that you’ll need to take in order for you to reach those goals and see the manifestation of all God has for you. (30 min)
