Growing up I always heard this… Life goes on, Audrey!
I knew life goes on in my head but not in my heart! As I sit here with another year gone by I still find it hard to believe that my mom has been gone for almost 5 years now. I look back on these years without her and have realized that so much “life” has happened since she has not been here.
There have been marriages, graduations, births and deaths! Colleges to attend a brother being sent to the Middle East twice. New jobs, unemployment, new opportunities for business! Even the birth of twins by my sister Angela.
There have been high points in our lives and very low points as well.
Living life without our Mom has been very hard for us 6 kids at times. However, our Dad has stepped up to the plate and has helped each one of us through our grieving and still pushes us to be everything that God created us to be. He has been a rock throughout these years and I love him dearly for it.
Through all life’s trials and tribulations you can be sure of one thing…Life goes on! Or as my Mom would always tell us…This too shall pass!
It’s in you to live that life to the fullest and learn from the trials that you experience or to allow the trials to overcome you.
Today, I pray that God would show you the small miracles that happen everyday that we seem to overlook.
Today, I pray that you would find more joy in your hearts than you have ever felt before.
Today, I pray that you live your life as if it were your last and that you find forgiveness in you heart for those that have done you wrong.
Today, I pray that you find comfort in knowing that…Life goes on…and what a beautiful life you have!
Today, I pray that you would know how special you truly are!
