It is not rare that God speaks to me during my daily walk with him, and today (May 15, 2013) is no different.
The Holy Spirit has put it on my heart to create a daily blog post that would allow Christians to share their encouraging devotions and their testament to Godโs grace and love for us. Starting today I will be sharing daily devotions for the next 365 days based on the inspirational reading from L.B. Cowmanโs, Streams in the Desert.

As I mentioned, there will be a blog post, but I will also be sharing the devotional with you by way of YouTube videos. I know what you must be thinking, โI do not want to be on camera sharing my devotional as wellโ. Before fear of being on camera sets in let me assure you that I do not expect others to share their devotional in the same manner unless you feel compelled to.
If you feel more comfortable using your keyboard to share your devotion than I encourage you to do so through that Daily Devotional Blog Post. Or you can simply be a spectator and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you right where you are. The way in which it is done does not matter, what matters is that every single day you filled with the Holy Spirit through Godโs word, encouraged, lifted up, prayed for and edified through these daily devotionals.
Remember that you are not alone. ๐
One of the most amazing things I stand in Awe of is how God meets each one of us where we are at in our walk with him, and reveals to us what we need at that time.
How many times has this happened to you?
You read a scripture verse at the beginning of your Christian walk and it means one thing to you, however, years later you read the sameย verse but now it has a totally different meaning, yet it still speaks volumes to you.
Well, I believe that is the same for each of us as individuals. My prayer for these devotions is for us to come together in one accord and share revelations the Holy Spirit gives to us. Whether you join in on the conversation through the Daily Devotional Blog Post or the YouTube videos doesn’t matter.
I am more than excited to start this journey and share my devotional, and at the same time, am inspired by yours.
The areas that I would love to hear about in your devotion include, but are not limited to:
- What God is revealing to you
- How you are being set free
- Testimonies of how these devotionals have helped you
- Questions you may be struggling with
- Most importantly your heart and what is flowing out of it
Streams in the Desert – Daily Devotions 1st Video
I did my very first video today after reading the devotion. It talks about Instant Obedience and in this video I share with you how I was obedient the time God called me to share something with a complete stranger, even though I felt like the person would think I was crazy. My obedience turned out to be such a blessing because she was in a time of need.
Oh, the power of God.
Check it out and let me know what you think
Oh, by the way, you can always Subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you don’t miss any of these Video Devotions. ๐
So what do you say? Do you want to join me in doing the Streams in the Desert Daily Devotional? Let me know in the comments and let’s get this devotional started. ๐
Thank you Audrey for being an inspiration to Christian women.
Thank you so much Shanika but can I say that you are an inspiration to me and so many others also. The love you have for your sons and the faithfulness you show to God even when the circumstances look so bleak is a true testimony to your walk with him. Love ya girl and I continue to pray for you and the boys. <3
